- Someone says "you've got red on you"
- Someone says "Winchester", or the bar or gun is displayed
- Mundane events are made action packed. (E.g. the water is turned on for the shower yet it seems like it is an intense action)
- Ed says "I'm sorry"
- Foreshadowing irony (E.g. the kid kicks a soccer ball and hits Shaun. Shaun replies with "You're dead".)
