As the proud father of a 17 month old little guy, I spend a lot of time immersed in silly activities to entertain Owen. A lot of kids around this age have roughly the same attention span as a goldfish, so spending 30 minutes with Owen can be uttlerly exhausting.
Hoping for a break one day, we put in a “Wiggles” DVD. Now, to this point Owen has never had the capacity to sit and watch TV. He had already rejected Sesame St., Elmo, and other kids favorites, so we expected this distraction technique to fail utterly. But... the Wiggles absolutely mesmerized Owen. He stopped what he was doing, plunked down on his ass, and spent the following 30 minutes with his eyes glued to the screen and his mouth open.
As such, he has become a huge Wiggles fan to the degree that he demands the Wiggles by name (he says “wug-wuhl”). This means I watched certain DVDs with frightening regularity. Having become aware of certain elements that tend to arise in Wiggles productions, I thought of ridiculous drinking games such as the “Roxanne” game (when you drink everytime Sting says either ‘Roxanne’ or ‘put on the red light’), or the Star Wars drinking game (which has a huge litany of cues to commence drinking).
(And yes, I am a complete loser who longs for the simpler days of youth.)
As such, I present to you THE WIGGLES DRINKING GAME!
Note, I do not actually advocate playing the Wiggles Drinking Game, as this quantity of alcohol would probably kill an elephant (and it probably aint a good idea to binge drink while tending to children. Probably.).
