Card Wars

Card wars!

Card wars is a fast paced drinking game designed for an even number of people.

Requirements

One standard deck of playing cards

How to play

Split everyone into pairs, preferably facing each other across a table, and deal them all one card. One pair at a time flip their cards and the person with the lowest card (aces are high) has to finish their drink. Then the person with the highest card has to finish their drink. Play as many times as required.

Alternate tournament edition

This variant on card wars requires 2,4,8,16 etc players to play. The winner of each pairing advances to the next round of a knockout tournament. Each round follows the same pairing structure as above with the winner advancing. Continue playing until there is only one player remaining.
